Wilson Creek Elementary School Foundation Presents $25K to School

The money will be used for learning in the classroom and for fun on the playground.

The Wilson Creek Elementary School Foundation Board of Directors recently presented Principal Andrea Cushing with a check for $25,000, to be used for learning in the classroom and for fun on the playground.

The check represents proceeds from the WCES Foundation’s fall tennis tournament at St. Ives Country Club and the “Read and Run” check writing campaign. The funds will be used to purchase new books for the school’s level specific library and for new playground equipment.

The Wilson Creek Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt foundation formed in 2008. Its mission is to enrich the educational experience of students; create an educationally stimulating and engaging environment for student learning; and enhance teacher and classroom productivity.
