Some babies just can’t wait to be born. A dad flagged down a state trooper when his wife was going into labor on the side of a major thoroughfare in Kennesaw, but the baby wasn’t waiting around for any more help.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 25, Georgia State Patrol Trooper First Class Royce Zah was driving on Barrett Parkway and Interstate 575 when he was flagged down by a motorist who said his wife was about to have a baby.

Zah confirmed that the woman was in labor, and sent a call out for an ambulance.

The impatient little one made a dramatic entrance into the world, just as the ambulance arrived to take mom to the hospital for a comfortably numbing epidural.

Zah followed behind the ambulance and checked in with the family once they were settled in at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

Both mother and baby are doing well, the Department of Public Safety wrote on its Facebook page.
