Chase Massner Case: Car Of Fugitive Located In DeKalb: Authorities

A car included in a fugitive lookout for James Bradshaw Clement​ has been found in DeKalb, Cobb authorities told Patch.

KENNESAW, GA -- The car authorities told the public to be on the lookout for in the search for a fugitive has been found in a DeKalb County driveway, authorities told Patch on Tuesday. James Bradshaw Clement, 31, remains on the run days after authorities investigating the missing persons case of Army veteran Chase Massner found remains in the backyard of a Kennesaw home. The home is a former residence of Clement's.

On Monday, authorities issued a wanted bulletin for Clement, alerting the public that he may be traveling in a blue Honda Civic, Georgia tag PHB 5724. Cobb police spokeswoman Alicia Chilton confirmed to Patch on Tuesday that a car that fits that make and model has been found at a residence belonging to a relative of Clement's.

"Yes, the vehicle was located at a home in DeKalb County, where the mother of Mr. Clement supposedly lived/lives," Chilton said in an email. She said she had no other details as the Sheriff's Office is on the case as well.

Chase Massner, a Cherokee County husband and father, went missing in 2014 after last being in the company of Clement at his Kennesaw home.

Cobb police said that remains found last week in the backyard of a home at 555 Farmbrook Trail are believed to be that of Massner, but official confirmation will have to come from the Medical Examiner’s Office.

A fugitive task force continues to look for Clement, according to Cobb authorities.

Massner’s mother, Stephanie Ann Cadena, took to Facebook to plead for Clement to turn himself in, saying, "Brad Clement, for Gods sake, STOP! You spoke to me face to face and even hugged me! If you're not guilty face us and show us the truth! You love your Mother and Chase Massner loved me! But Chase is no longer here to speak, you are! Please step up and do the right thing!!"

She also gave talked to WSB-TV, saying in a statement: "As many of you know, we’ve been dealing with heartbreak and trying to get closure. But he’s been taken from us by a man who ran and continues to evade arrest. A concerned citizen has offered a $1,000 reward for anyone who provides information to the capture of Brad Clements. Please take a moment to look at the flier and if you spot him or have any information on his whereabouts, please call 911 immediately." Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Cobb County Sheriff's Office at 770-499-4630.

Massner, an Army veteran, reportedly went to stay at a Clement's home after having a marital dispute. Clement has fought allegations for three years that he had something to do with Massner's disappearance.
