Cobb Police Still Investigating Fatal Shooting

It was 7:45 a.m. April 22 when a family member discovered the body of a 60-year-old man in the carport of his home at 3591 Paul Samuel Rd. and called 911

A month after 60-year-old Frank William Davidson was found dead at his home on Paul Samuel Road, no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

That's because Cobb police have no suspect in the case, according to a story in today's Marietta Daily Journal.

It was 7:45 a.m. April 22 when a family member discovered Davidson's body in the carport of his home at 3591 Paul Samuel Rd. and called 911, Sgt. Dana Pierce with the Cobb County Police Department told Patch last month. For much of that day, police officials referred to the case as a "suspicious death." By that evening, the department upgraded it to a "murder investigation."

"He was shot in the carport of his home," Pierce said. "He died from a gunshot wound."

That's the only detail related to the case that police have released.

They have not discussed how many times Davidson was shot, where he was shot, what kind of gun was used in the shooting or any other details "because of this ongoing investigation."

The department is asking anyone with information about the murder to call 770-499-3945.

"We're continuing to look into every aspect of this murder and we will run every lead out that we get from the public to the fullest extent," Pierce said last month.
