Fall Foliage at Peak Colors in North Georgia Mountains, State Parks

Weather conditions are creating an earlier arrival for the brightest fall colors, according to reports around the state.

It's easy to spot the changing colors along Georgia scenic byways, in the state parks and elsewhere. OurTravelCafe.com journeyed to Fort Mountain State Park on Oct. 24, enjoying the bright colors while walking along the lake, checking out the Cool Springs overlook, and visiting the historic rock wall and restored fire tower.
