Funds Approved for Kennesaw Museum
The museum this summer will break ground on the Railroad Education Center Library and Archives, a 15,000-square-foot addition that will give the museum a place to store everything.

At Monday's Kennesaw City Council meeting, councilmembers approved an agreement that allows the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History to accept a $500,000 grant to build the $1.1-million Railroad Education Center Library and Archives, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
A decade ago, the museum had sufficient space for historical letters, diaries and photographs.
But the museum's collections have grown so much, it is time to expand.
