Georgia Woman Arrested, Accused Of Starting House Fire: Police

Elizabeth Anne Shepherd, 49, is being charged with arson in connection with a house that caught fire in Kennesaw on Friday, authorities say.

KENNESAW, GA — A Georgia woman was arrested in connection with a house fire in Kennesaw, according to Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services.

Elizabeth Anne Shepherd, 49, is charged with arson and is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to authorities.

The fire started around 8:30 a.m. Friday at a home located at 5080 Woodland Drive. The fire was started in multiple places and was ruled incendiary, investigators said.

Authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Shepherd later Friday. A motive for the fire is unknown.
