Motorcyclist Dies in Collision With SUV In Kennesaw
'Both vehicles approached the intersection' at Cobb Parkway, police say
KENNESAW, GA – Cobb County police said they do not expect to file charges in a fatal crash that occurred early Thursday involving a motorcycle and a Ford Bronco.
Cobb County officers responded to the incident about 12:21 a.m. on Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw.
The motorcycle and Ford were both traveling on Cobb Parkway toward Blue Springs Road when they collided, Cobb County police said in a news release.

“As both vehicles approached the intersection, the driver of the Bronco applied his brakes as the automatic traffic signal cycled from green to red. Within moments of doing so, the rider of the motorcycle struck the right rear corner of the Ford,” Cobb police said.
David M. Lance, 41, of Dallas was thrown from this black 1997 Yamaha Royal Star bike onto the grassy roadside. He was taken to Wellstone Kennesaw Hospital, where he died.

The driver of the Bronco, Brian Cole, 27, of Kennesaw, was unhurt in the collision.
