Water Fun, Pirates at Kennesaw Outdoor Movie Series Saturday

Starting at 6 p.m., activities include both free and pay-to-play inflatable slides, field games and attractions.

After the sun goes down, settle in for a pirate adventure with a screening of The Pirates! Band of Misfits. The 2012 stop-motion animated adventure comedy follows the Pirate Captain and his crew of amateur pirates as they attempt to win the Pirate of the Year competition. The movie is rated PG.

Hotel Transylvania will be presented on Saturday, Oct. 12. The first feature in the 2013 Outdoor Movie Series of free, family-friendly flicks at Swift-Cantrell Park was cancelled due to weather on Saturday, May 4.

Blankets and low-back chairs are permitted. Pop-up tents, canopies or beach umbrellas that can obstruct the view of others are not permitted.

Concessions will be available for purchase.

Children participating in water activities should arrive dressed to get wet. An extra change of clothing, towel and dry shoes is recommended. Restrooms are available; showers and changing rooms are not.

Parking is available inside the park and at neighboring Kennesaw Elementary School.

Swift-Cantrell Park is located at 3140 Old 41 Highway.
