Family, Dog Displaced After Lilburn House Blaze

The overnight fire started in the garage of a Lilburn home in Gwinnett County.

LILBURN, GA β€” A family and their dog are safe after an overnight fire Sunday in the 600 block of Bruce Way, Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services said.

The blaze sparked at the Lilburn house, triggering a smoke alarm that alerted the residents to the fire in their garage, fire officials said.

Before first responders arrived, the family and their pet dog were able to safely evacuate the home, fire officials said.

There were no injuries, and the American Red Cross assisted the displaced family, fire officials said.
