Pancakes for Pamela

The community is once again coming together to help a Walton County family deal with the onslaught of cancer. Last year, raised funds for the Ham family. Pamela Ham, at the age of 31, is battling Stage 3 Melanoma. Despite aggressive treament the prognosis hasn't improved for this Walton County wife and mother since she was first diagnosed in April last year. After being advised to go home and get her affairs in order in November 2011, she has decided to decline any more surgery and spend what time she has left with her husband, 8-year old daughter, family and friends.

On Saturday there will be a pancake benefit breakfast from 7 - 11 a.m. at the Fergus Lodge 135 in Loganville for the family. Plates will include eggs, grits, sausage and pancakes and will cost $6 each. There will also be a raffle for a Bennelli Nova shotgun. Raffle tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20. This will be drawn at 11 a.m. March 3. The winner does not have to be present at the time of the drawing.

All funds raised will be used to help the Ham family. Orders to go will also be taken (minimum 2 plates) to be delivered to local business. Any questions, to place an order to go or to purchase raffle tickets call Rusty 770-231-8674 or Michelle 404-447-7246
