Augusta National Golf Club Accepts First Female Members — Is It About Time?
Times they are a-changing. Are we ready for female members at Augusta National Golf Club?
The fact that no female members have been accepted in top golf clubs has been a bone of contention with some for a while. Well, it looks like that glass ceiling has finally been cracked.
The New York Times reported Monday that two female members have finally been accepted at Augusta National Golf Club. The two women accepted were former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and Darla Moore, a South Carolina businesswoman. A campaign has reportedly been under way since 2003 to get the club to open up to women.
So what do you think? About time? Or should males and females be allowed to have some exclusivity if they want — be it an all male or an all female golf course?
