Why are you seeking elective office?

To continue to serve the citizens of Loganville

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Downtown Development. I have seven goals to get us to the finish line of breaking ground. As current Finance and Economic Development Chair, I will continue to work on finance, help create smart budgets, support City staff and our City Manager, and boost our infrastructure.

As for downtown, it’s time to take action.

I’m ready to take Loganville from a drive-through downtown into a beautiful, vibrant and welcoming drive-to destination with robust retail, restaurants and residences.

These changes will help make Loganville Strong.

What are your short- and long-term goals if you are elected?

The Huntsinger Seven - seven steps and goals for the next four years: Keep our valuable city employees, market Loganville as business friendly, define our mixed use ratio downtown, create architectural standards, boost our infrastructure, create a specific plan for development downtown and break ground.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Experience. I have been working towards development for four years and will hit the ground running on day one.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)?

How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?

I think we did great. We got our city employees the resources they needed to continue to operate safely.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

We are also working with a challenge of bringing our city back together. A failed development attempt two years ago split our citizens down the middle. Lots of commutation and open dialogue is working to bring everyone back together.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

The last four years have been a challenge and the biggest evidence I will continue to do a great job is that I haven't quit. Some of our citizens have been very critical of my role yet I have stayed involved and kept an open dialogue.

What do you like best about living in your city (or county)?

Our city council and staff are a great group of people that I am proud to serve with.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Never, ever, ever give up.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I'm a straight shooter and you can count on me to do a great job for you as a Council member. My experience in finance and development makes me an excellent choice.
