Grayson Kindergarten Students Get Early Introduction to School
Rising Kindergarten students from Starling Elementary School in Grayson, Ga. attended Camp over the summer to familiarize themselves with school routines.
These soon-to-be students recently participated in Kindergarten Camp at the school in Grayson, Ga.
"The new students had the opportunity to experience public school for the very first time as they begin their educational careers," said Jorge Quintana, spokesman for Gwinnett County Public Schools. "They participated in learning activities each day, toured the school, made new friends, learned school routines, and much more."
Quintana said that Kindergarten camp, which takes place during the summer, helps students become comfortable with their new school surroundings and instructional routines as they transition to school.
