Grayson Native Competing in 2013 Miss Georgia Pageant
Courtney Hinesley, 18, is a graduate of Grayson High School.

In 2011, Patch blogger Jason Brooks told you about Courtney Hinesley of Grayson who was crowned Miss Conyers Outstanding Teen. Her most recent title is Miss Hummingbird Festival and this week she is in Columbus with girls from all over the state as a contestant in the 69th Annual Miss Georgia Pageant.
Hinesley has already shown her worth, winning the preliminary swimsuit competition on Wednesday and along with it a $250 scholarship.
Each girl competing must have a platform and Hinesley's “Let's Get it Straight: Scoliosis Awareness” is one that she is continuing from previous pageants. This hits close to home for her as she was diagnosed with scoliosis and underwent a spinal fusion as a seventh-grader. According to an article in the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, Hinesley will sing “I Made It Through the Rain” in the talent part of the competition. The 18-year-old is a student at Georgia Regents University, majoring in nursing.
