Now That the Powerball Jackpot is Over $300 Million, Will You Buy a Ticket?
With nobody winning the Powerball Jackpot in almost two months, the drawing Wednesday to a single winner will be more than $300 million.
Traditionally, the higher the jackpot payout in a lottery, the more people are prepared to share in the pot. With nobody winning since June 23, the Powerball Jackpot drawing for Wednesay now sits at $305 million, according to the Powerball Lottery website. This has a cash option payout of $203.3 million, before taxes. The drawing will be on Wednesday, Aug. 15 and the cost of a ticket is $2.
