Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Hit by Truck in Grayson

A young man was critically injured Sunday evening in Grayson after being hit by a box truck on Grayson Highway.

A pedestrian was critically injured Sunday evening on Grayson Highway across the road from

Edwin Ritter, public information officer for Gwinnett County Police Department, said that the accident happened at about 7:30 p.m.

“A young adult male stepped in front of a box truck around the 1700 block of Grayson Highway in Grayson,” Ritter said. “The box truck was unable to avoid the male and struck him. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital in critical condition.”

Ritter said the driver of the truck would not face any charges. No further information is known at this time.
