Dead Roaches Spotted During Inspection: Gwinnett County Food Report

GWINNETT COUNTY — Local restaurants and food chains in Gwinnett County were recently graded by the Gwinnett, Newton & Rockdale Health Department and Georgia Department of Public Health. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70. Check out the latest scores from Oct. 15 - 21 in Gwinnett County.

Mostro Burger, 1630 Pleasant Hill Road, in Duluth received an “unsatisfactory” score of 60 during its Oct. 15 inspection. Dead roaches were found on gaskets on the cooler and freezer, according to the inspector’s notes. There was no soap at the only hand sink in the establishment. Raw beef was stored over frozen vegetables. There were no dates on the rice and deli ham. The restaurant did not have a thermometer on site to accurately measure temperatures.
