83rd Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival Dates Announced
Held in Piedmont Park, more than 20,000 people annually attend Atlanta's most popular springtime festival.

ATLANTA, GA — When the Atlanta Dogwood Festival opens for its 83rd year next spring, the city’s residents and visitors will once again have the opportunity to enjoy three days of fine art and live entertainment while delighting in the delicate blooms of the dogwood tree. Hosted by the festival’s nonprofit organization and held in Piedmont Park, this annual event regularly attracts 200,000+ attendees during its three days of offerings. With more than eight decades of history, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is the city’s largest and longest-running fine arts festival, and it’s the third oldest in the country.
The festival is set for Friday, April 12 through Saturday, April 14, 2019. Featuring the top 260 artists selected from more than 1,000 entries each year, the juried, fine art Artist Market at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival welcomes art lovers to peruse and purchase. Because the festival is one of the first events of the art festival season, artists display their newest and best work straight from their studios.
The city’s longest-running festival, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing the annual springtime celebration of arts and entertainment. The Society of American Travel Writers named the Atlanta Dogwood Festival as one of the Top 10 Spring Festivals in 2012 and Sunshine Artist magazine named the festival the 8th best in the country in 2017. The Art Fair Sourcebook ranked the Atlanta Dogwood Festival in its list of Top 25 Fine Art Festivals in the country for 2013. The festival has also earned significant recognition for the overwhelming success of its Green Festival Initiative, which in 2011, 2012 and 2013 received a Gold Award for Best Festival Environmental Program from the International Festivals & Events Association.
