Atlanta Dogwood Festival: Everything You Need To Know

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival opens Friday at Piedmont Park. It runs through Sunday.

ATLANTA -- The city's official kickoff to spring, the 83rd Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival brings fine art, live entertainment and family fun to Piedmont Park, all in celebration of the blooming dogwoods. The event also offers music and entertainment on two stages, midway rides, competing disc dogs, a 5K and a ticketed food tasting event.

Artist market closes at 7 pm on Friday & Saturday.

The Atlanta Police Department will be heavily enforcing all illegal parking around Piedmont Park the weekend of the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. Residential Parking fines have substantially increased and vehicles parked within tow zones will be impounded.

The best way to get to the festival is on MARTA. Look for the free “school bus” shuttle to bring you from MARTA to the festival. Catch a shuttle to the festival from the following locations:

  • MARTA Arts Center Station pickup is at the Bus Depot – 1255 W. Peachtree St. NW
  • MARTA Midtown Station pickup is on Peachtree Place at the rear of the station

Shuttle buses will drop you off at the curb cut out between 13th and 14th Streets at Piedmont Avenue. That’s where you can also pick up a bus back to MARTA after your festival visit.

Saturday: 9:30 am – 10:30 pm
Sunday: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm

In recognition of its 80th anniversary, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival has commissioned an interactive bronze sculpture that will welcome guests to Piedmont Park for many decades to come. The sculpture, shaped as a giant dogwood limb with massive blooms, will also serve as a bench for park visitors.
