Atlanta Hawks Hold Members Only Event at Monday Night Brewing in West Midtown
Monday Night Brewing was the location of the latest Atlanta Hawks Members Only event.

What's the saying? Membership has its benefits....
Well this weekend that saying rang true with my Atlanta Hawks team. Yes all the talk about Dwight Howard and if he would land in Atlanta has suffocated many rooms in the past few weeks. Now that his decision is past us, Hawks fans can get back to building our team of the future.
And that is what most Hawks fans know and believe, I think. Collectively as a team of fans, we are saying goodbye to some key people like Josh Smith but in hopes of getting the chance to truly build a strong team of the future.
I could go on about the Hawks and the NBA forever, but what really spurned this basketball conversation in the middle of the summer (when I really should be thinking of football) is the fact that I just attended my first Hawks Members Only event!
The Hawks held an awesome exclusive event for its season-ticket holders on Saturday night (7/13) at Atlanta's newest brewery, Monday Night Brewing, located in west Midtown. The event had the two essentials necessary for any good basketball event; Beer and BBQ.
The beer was provided by Monday Night Brewing which had four of their special local brews on tap, and the BBQ was provided by southwest Atlanta's own This is It BBQ. (the This is It guys are Hawks Members too!)
A few hundred of our fellow Hawks ticket holders came out to the event to take part in the new one-of-a-kind program that gives seasoned fans a chance to interact with the NBA organization throughout the year and in very exclusive fashions.
According to Kyle Brunson of the Hawks, there are a number of events all year long that will bring the Atlanta fans closer to the action and, "feel more invested in the team."
As I ate and drank with other fellow Hawks supporters, like the Maddox's, we chatted about the future of the Hawks, our wishes for the new coach, and our expectations of the season...All of us so thankful for the opportunity to be recognized by the team we support.
In all seriousness, for a professional team to want to give back to its most loyal supporters is amazing and I can only imagine what other sort of events and ideas the organization has in store for us during this off-season and next year.
What are some of the events you are hoping they will hold? I personally can't wait for an opportunity to actually be on the court...I wonder if these old legs can still dunk...
