Atlanta Restaurants Offering Holiday Specials

ATLANTA, GA -- Here is a roundup of some of the holiday and seasonal specials now being offered up at some of Atlanta's restaurants, including in Buckhead, Midtown, East Atlanta and Virginia Highland communities.

Estrella, 550 Somerset Terrace NE Suite 102

Estrella, the recently opened Yucatecan-inspired rooftop restaurant overlooking the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, now features covered and heated outdoor seating for the winter. One of Mexico’s most highly regarded chefs, Roberto Solis, created the Yucatecan menu featuring shareable small plates and main dishes rooted in regional Mexican specialties. Estrella is open Wednesday through Sunday, with lunch on Saturdays and brunch on Sundays.

Hampton + Hudson 299 North Highland Ave.

Mon., Dec. 25 – Christmas Day Bo’Ling Chop Suey Palace Pop-Up

Back for another year, Hampton + Hudson’s Bo’Ling Chop Suey Palace pop-up will be serving a special Chinese menu beginning at 6pm. Inspired by the classic holiday movie “A Christmas Story,” the menu can be enjoyed in the restaurant or taken home to eat next to the Christmas tree. Drink specials will be available, and guests can catch “A Christmas Story” and football games on televisions throughout the restaurant!

Brezza Cucina 675 Ponce de Leon Ave.

Mon., Dec. 10 – Kids Pizza-Making Classes
Brezza Cucina offers Kids Pizza-Making Classes on the second Monday of every month! The restaurant's culinary team will teach little chefs how to stretch pizza dough before they top pies themselves and watch as the pizzas bake in the restaurant's wood fired oven. Classes are priced at $25 per child (including a complimentary glass of wine for mom or dad!) and held from 5-7pm. UrbanTree Cidery 1465 Howell Mill Rd NE

Now available - Holiday Gift Packs
UrbanTree is selling special holiday packs, a great gift for any cider lover and a festive accompaniment for holiday gatherings! Available at their West Midtown tasting room (1465 Howell Mill Rd NW), the packs include a choice of two bottles of cider and two drinking glasses. The cidery is open on Thursdays from 4-9:30pm and weekends from 12:30 to 6:30pm.

Just announced - UrbanTree Recognized by 2018 U.S. Open Cider Championship
UrbanTree Cidery is excited to share that they have been awarded two medals by the 2018 U.S. Open Cider Championship, an annual, global competition that judged over 250 cider entries from 21 different styles this year. UrbanTree won the Gold medal for Peary Good in the "Specialty Cider and Perry" category, as well as the Bronze medal for Wild on Cherry in the 'Cherry Cider" category.

Xocolatl Small Batch Chocolate 99 Krog Street

Just in time for the holiday season, Xocolatl has debuted a special Peppermint Bark Gift Box at their shop and online! The festive holiday bark is dairy-free and made with Xocolatl’s 67% dark chocolate, infused with organic dried peppermint, and topped with almond milk white chocolate and crunchy peppermint candies.

Tues., Dec. 11 - Xocolatl Chocolate + Wild Heaven Beer Tasting
Xocolatl is teaming up with Taproom and Wild Heaven to deliver a delectable tasting experience on Tues., Dec. 11. Guests will be guided through beer and chocolate pairings that complement and highlight each other, while enjoying a tasting of Wild Heaven's Gravitational Wave – a Russian Imperial Stout with smoked cocoa nibs and raspberries – side-by-side with the Xocolatl’s Ripple Effect chocolate bar, which was created in response to the beer! Tickets ($15) are available here and include the tasting flight of beer, paired chocolate, and a full Xocolatl chocolate bar of your choice! Must be 21+ to purchase tickets. Seats limited.

Second Self Beer Co. 1317 Logan Circle NW

Sun., Dec. 9 - Rise Up With People’s BBQ
Cheer on the Falcons at Second Self! People’s BBQ will be onsite with food for purchase (including a whole pig), and the football game will be displayed on Second Self’s projector. Plates are $15 each, or guests can go all out with an all-you-can-eat option for $25, including side dishes.

Thurs., Dec. 13, 5-8pm - Erin Cribb Gallery Opening
Second Self will display artwork from Erin Cribb through December and January! A local artist combining her loves for music and typography, Erin captures feelings and memories from the lyrics of popular songs, quotes, and mottos. Her works will be on display in Second Self’s tasting room for guests to view.

Thurs., Dec. 20 - Cocoa & Carols
Warm up this holiday season at Second Self on Dec. 20. The brewery will offer holiday beers and hot cocoa while The Graduates, a local a cappella group, will perform for guests from 6:30-8pm.

Sweet Auburn BBQ 656 N. Highland Ave NE

Thurs., Dec. 20 - Ugly Sweater Night
Stop by Sweet Auburn BBQ’s Poncey-Highland restaurant on Dec. 20 for a night of fun! Diners are encouraged to wear their best ugly sweater and entire the competition for $5, with proceeds supporting the Poncey-Highland Neighborhood Association. Other raffles and food and drink specials will be offered from 6-10pm.

Tues., Feb. 12 - Chinese New Year Celebration
Save the date: Sweet Auburn’s annual, beloved Chinese New Year celebration is back for 2019! On Feb. 12, guests to the Poncey-Highland restaurant can enjoy an a la carte menu of shareable plates, curated by siblings Howard and Anita Hsu. Traditional lion dancers will also perform throughout the night. More details to come.

El Super Pan Ponce City Market & The Battery

Every Monday - Mofongo Mondays
El Super Pan is now offering a new twist on their beloved secret menu item each Monday! On Dec. 3, guests to their location at The Battery can enjoy “Oaxacan Mofongo,” a ginger mofongo made with with chipotle soy ahi tuna, salted cucumbers, radish, chipotle chicharron furikake, and sour orange soy broth. Check out El Super Pan’s Instagram page each Monday morning for the special.

Thurs., Dec. 27 - Puerto Rican Holiday Parranda
Swing into the holiday spirit at El Super Pan at The Battery with a traditional Puerto Rican Parranda, complete with music, food, good drinks, and dancing. Guests can enjoy a multi-course dinner (including Gandules y Lechon, Pasteles, Yuca Fritters, Cuajitos, Gandinga, and more), paired with holiday drinks and other specials. Join in the fun with Chef Hector Santiago and the El Super Pan crew to sing classic Puerto Rican Christmas carols accompanied by traditional instruments used in authentic Puerto Rican Parrandas. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online.
