Atlanta Symphony Members Robbed at Gunpoint

One of the victims told police one of the robbers chased him with a gun until he threw his keys and wallet away.

Two members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra were robbed at gunpoint downtown on Monday night, according to police.

The musicians had just arrived at their vehicle at 29 Peachtree St. following choir practice at 10:40 p.m. when three black men approached them from an unknown direction, a police report states. One of the men pulled out a gun and told the victims to “give me everything you got.”

One of the victims fled south down Peachtree Street, but the armed suspect gave chase. The police report says the victim eventually threw away his key fob and wallet. He saw the suspects going through the vehicle before he fled north on Peachtree Circle. The victim recovered his key fob and wallet but noticed $400 was missing from it.
