Head's Up, Atlanta: Bernie Sanders Is Coming To Town
He will speak at Georgia Tech about his new book, which sheds light on his strong showing in the primaries.
ATLANTA, GA -- Former presidential contender and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is coming to Atlanta. This time he’ll be promoting his book about his experiences on the campaign trail.
His new book “Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In” is a New York Times bestseller.
Sanders will speak at Georgia Tech’s Ferst Center on Jan. 15 and take questions, according to a news release from Acapella Books. The queries will need to be pre-submitted to info@acappellabooks.com, the news release says.

Sanders, who describes himself as a Democratic socialist, was a longtime politician considered a long shot for the White House when he announced his candidacy for president in April 2015. He went on to win nearly two dozen caucuses and primaries before losing to eventual Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Sanders has been in Atlanta a couple times in the last year or so, but one of the more memorable visits was when he was on the campaign trail in November 2015, he buddied up to local rapper Killer Mike and ate at soul food joint Busy Bee’s on Martin Luther King Drive.

This time the 75-year-old will keep the focus on his book, which expounds on his beliefs about governance and what he learned while going state to state in his bid for the White House.
Sanders won’t be signing books are participate in a book line, the news release says.
