Burglars Tie Up Security Guard: Police (Update)
The burglars targeted a unit in an oft-victimized Midtown apartment complex Friday afternoon.

A security guard at a Midtown apartment complex that has been ravaged by burglars says that three of them tied him up with the cord from a hair dryer after he caught them breaking into a unit Friday afternoon.
The guard told police he noticed one of the doors at the Camden Midtown Atlanta apartments had been kicked in at approximately 12:30 p.m., a police report says. The guard went inside the apartment and was confronted by three men, one of whom pulled a gun on the guard and used the cord to tie up his hands.
The robbers ransacked the apartment, moved a television, and said out loud that they were looking for a purple bag, the police report says. After the robbers left, the guard freed himself and called 911.
