Eastside Atlanta Beltline Trail Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting
The Atlanta BeltLine is celebrating the Eastside Trail ribbon cutting on Thursday with speeches and several food offerings.

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta BeltLine is celebrating the Eastside Trail ribbon cutting next Thursday, July 11 at 10 am. Kicking off with a speech from Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, the ribbon cutting will be held along the newly opened Eastside Trail that runs adjacent to Muchacho and Golden Eagle, the Reynoldstown sister spots from Atlanta restaurant group Electric Hospitality.
The event is open to the public, and Muchacho will provide attendees with complimentary Counter Culture coffee and house-made pastries to enjoy during the ceremony. In celebration of the much-anticipated trail's recent opening, Muchacho is also featuring a weekend-long Grand Opening Backyard Boogie in their Sunken Garden outdoor patio and launching a new patio bar.
After the ribbon cutting, the party will continue next door with the debut of Muchacho's new patio bar. From 11 am to 5 pm, guests can sip on a selection of signature cocktails crafted on Muchacho's patio overlooking the BeltLine.

Muchacho’s patio bar will be serving items from noon to 5 pm throughout the weekend. Each day, a portion of patio bar sales will be donated to the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership.
The Atlanta BeltLine will ultimately connect 45 intown neighborhoods via a 22-mile loop of multi-use trails, modern streetcar, and parks, all based on railroad corridors that formerly encircled Atlanta. The Atlanta BeltLine also supports affordable workforce housing, economic development, job creation, public health, streetscapes, public art, environmental clean-up, and historic preservation, all with an eye towards sustainability. Two organizations – Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. and The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership – work together with partner organizations to bring the program to life.

The Atlanta BeltLine is opening in phases through the anticipated completion in 2030. As of 2019, the Atlanta BeltLine consists of five open trails and seven parks that welcome nearly 2 million visitors each year. More than $4.1 billion has been generated in private economic redevelopment.
