First-Ever Atlanta Balloon Glow Set For Piedmont Park This Week
The Atlanta Balloon Glow will run from August 1-4 at Piedmont Park, with 10 balloons lighting up the Midtown sky.
ATLANTA — The first ever Atlanta Balloon Glow is set for August 1-4 at Piedmont Park. Hot air balloons will glow each evening with tethered balloon rides also available. The event also features the food vendors, retail vendors and activities for children. General admission is free. The balloon activity will be located in the Meadow, which is the southeast area of the park close to The Park Tavern. Tethered rides booked in advance are just $20 per person.
Balloon activity is subject to suitable weather conditions. Should balloon activity be postponed, tickets will be valid at future Midflo events and/or rain out dates to be held if and as required. Tickets purchased through Eventbrite are non-refundable.
Tethered rides will begin as close to 5 pm as the weather conditions permit and will operate until 9 pm or until weather conditions dictate.

The main balloon glow consists of around 10 balloons and will begin around 7pm subject to suitable weather conditions. The main glow will last around one hour.
Event organizers are asking attendees to take MARTA or other transportation, since there will be no car parking at the park during the event.
