Friday Night Lights! Open Opportunity to Advertise In/Outside of Grady Stadium

Atlanta Public Schools recently sent Midtown Patch the following announcement about a unique opportunity to be able to advertise your company or organization prominently in and around Grady High stadium.  We wanted to share this with all of our Patch users because this is a great opportunity and in an area which has such high traffic.

According to Mia Van Wagenen, who is working on the project, there are even opportunities to advertise your company on the outside of the stadium facing towards Piedmont Park or Monroe Drive.  Below is the full release.

Full Release - For the first time, Atlanta Public School’s Athletic Department is offering a district wide marketing opportunity to advertise with their athletic department which includes two state of the art Football and multi- purpose sports stadiums, 26 basketball gymnasiums and 18 baseball/softball fields.

Each year, Atlanta Public School Department of Athletics hosts approximately 250 athletic events  with over 200,000 fans. Sporting events last all year long.

Each stadium seats 8000+ fans.  Grady Stadium, located in Midtown Atlanta and directly across from Piedmont Park (10th and Monroe)was renovated in 2010 and newly built in 2012 Lakewood Stadium, is adjacent to Aaron’s Lakewood Amphitheater.

“The marketing opportunities for brands that want to reach parents and teens at these venues are limitless says Jeff Beggs, Athletic Director of Atlanta Public Schools. “The graduation rate of our athletes is over 90% and many of them go on to receive scholarships to college.  We know that kids that are in sports, stay in school”.

Funds raised through Corporate Sponsorships will exclusively support the APS Athletic Department and help underwrite the purchase of critically needed equipment including uniforms, training gear, pads, helmets, sports medicine supplies and equipment, etc. for all sports, both female and male.  Advertising rates start at just $500 per month.
