Hot Stuff! Recent Atlanta Fire Rescue Department Highlights
Here is the bi-monthly stakeholder publication from the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. Check it out!
"The first two months of 2014 have been active ones for the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. We’ve had Winter Storms Leon and Pax to deal with, as well as our usual fires and medical emergencies. But AFRD has gotten some well- deserved praise for its handling of the rescue of a construction worker from a high-rise project in Buckhead and for its response to a gas leak that shut down Little Five Points on the coldest day of the year so far. Fire Marshal Lt. Ulysses Gladden did what AFRD does best – saving lives – when he called for the evacuation of the Tabernacle because of an unsafe stage floor. I am very proud of the men and women who work so hard every day to make sure Atlantans are safe. They are constant reminders why virtually every poll of “Most Admired Professions” include firefighting!"
