ICYMI: Over Half Dozen Thieves Raid Midtown-Area Store

At least seven thieves were seen on security camera footage, police said.

Atlanta police are looking for seven black males who were seen on security cameras breaking into a department clothing store on the western fringe of the Georgia Tech campus on Wednesday morning.

A security guard outside A Ma Maniere on Marietta Street noticed two vehicles in front of the store and the door and windows smashed out just before 2:30 a.m., a police report says. He tried to stop the vehicles from fleeing, but they scraped his truck and drove off. The security guard told police the vehicles were an older model white Ford Taurus and a white Infinity SUV.

An officer reviewed security camera footage and saw the Taurus back into the front of the store, smashing in the window and the door glass. Seven black males piled out of the two vehicles and ransacked the store, stealing several clothing items from the rack on the ground level and a rack up on the balcony.

Each of the males was wearing all black, some with bandannas to further conceal their identities, the report says. The suspects left behind a bloody shirt and a pair of bloody socks, which will be tested by technicians.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the store owner estimates that $15,000 worth of merchandise was stolen.
