Legendary Midtown Cowtippers Closing For Good This Month

The iconic Midtown restaurant is closing after dinner on Dec. 27.

ATLANTA, GA -- Cowtippers, a longtime Midtown Atlanta iconic restaurant, is officially closing this month. The restaurant announced on its website that it will after dinner on Dec. 27. Cowtippers Steaks & Spirits also used to be the site of an Old Hickory House.

Earlier reports this year speculated that Cowtippers, which has been in business since 1993, may be replaced by a Chase Bank. Metrotainment Cafes has confirmed the property is for sale. The restaurant is located near the corner of Piedmont Road and Monroe Drive.

A deal that was put together last year would have sold the property and closed the restaurant back in January 2018, but the deal never come to fruition.
