Memorial Service Held For Georgia Tech Football Star
Friends and family gathered Monday night to celebrate the life of Brandon Adams. Here's an update on his cause of death.

ATLANTA -- A memorial service was held Monday night at Georgia Tech for Brandon Adams, who died over the weekend from unknown causes. Adams, 21, was a business administration major and defensive tackle for the team. Off the field, he spent the summer of 2018 interning for the Georgia Tech Research Institute.
Family and university officials have not released a cause of death. On Monday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said its initial autopsy was inconclusive, and more testing was needed.
Adams played in 33 games over three seasons as a Yellow Jacket from 2016-18. He recorded 41 career tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles as an interior defensive lineman. He was coming off a career year in 2018, when he amassed 24 tackles, five tackles for loss and two forced fumbles in 13 games (all career highs).

A Brentwood, Tennessee, native, Adams was a three-sport star at Brentwood Academy (football, wrestling, track and field). He served as captain for Brentwood Academy's football and track and field teams that both won state championships during his senior year (2015-16).

In all, he earned 11 high school letters (four in football, four in track and field, three in wrestling) and helped lead four Brentwood Academy teams to state titles (football – 2015; track and field – 2013, 2015 and 2016).
