The driver of the semi cab is being held on charges in Monroe County,

A semi truck driver is in jail in Monroe County after leading police on a low-speed chase that ended in Midtown Atlanta overnight Tuesday.

Lt. Randy Gonzalez with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office tells Patch that the driver first fled from sheriff’s deputies in that jurisdiction before heading to Monroe County on I-75 north, where Monroe sheriff’s deputies took over the chase. The deputies were joined by Georgia state troopers and members of the Georgia Department of Public Safety’s Motor Carrier Compliance Division.

In Monroe and Henry counties, law enforcement shot out the tires of the semi and deployed stop sticks in an attempt to stop the cab, but the driver kept going on the rims of his wheels, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
