Netherworld Kicks off Haunting Season at Dragon Con

The masters of scary will trot out their spookiest creations during the Saturday morning parade.

This Labor Day weekend, fans from across the country will be taking over the streets of downtown Atlanta, along with five host hotels, for the 29th annual Dragon Con festival. Considered one of America’s sci-fi, fantasy and comic book conventions, this year’s event will feature 4-days of panels and demonstrations, bringing characters to life for fans. This year, NETHERWORLD Haunted House will once again join forces with the animated convention for yet another weekend filled with floats, extravagant costumes and outrageous fans.

NETHERWORLD is no stranger to playing a spooky part in the annual Dragon Con festivities, as the haunt has frequently been involved in various aspects of the festivities. This year, the haunted house will be once again be sponsoring the Horror Track which will be taking place in the Peachtree Room at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. The Horror Track is home to Dragon Con’s monsters and everything horror, and this year it will be featuring a bone-chilling line up of panels, topics and guests. NETHERWORLD’s most popular involvement with Dragon Con has been their long-standing participation with one of the conventions’ most admired events, the annual parade. This Saturday, September 5 at 10:00am, the festivities begin with NETHERWORLD revealing their most terrifying monsters during the Dragon Con parade.

If you are really looking for a scare, take a journey over to NETHERWORLD Haunted House on opening night, September 25, to see what other creatures are lurking behind those haunted walls…. Every year, the haunt has been highly involved with the event, creating legendary freakish floats for the parade since its beginning in 2002. The haunt’s presence within the parade has grown over the years with the parade itself, which now attracts upwards of 100,000 spectators each year.
