Opening in Midtown Atlanta this Month: Al Forno’s Pizza
Al Forno's pizza is opening in August in Midtown. The eatery will offer locally sourced ingredients so patrons can cook their pie at home.
ATLANTA, GA -- A new restaurant concept is taking the DIY approach a bit further by letting patrons buy handmade crust and local ingredients in-house, then go home and cook up a pizza in their own houses. Al Forno’s is opening later this month in Midtown, Patch has learned.
The restaurant will offer will offer a menu of classic pies or the option to create your own and bake in the comfort of your own home for 5-7 minutes. Al Forno’s will be located in at 1080 West Peachtree Street, between 12th and 13th streets in Midtown. The eatery comes to us from Atlanta restaurateur Brian Lewis, who owns Bocado, the popular West Midtown eatery, Amer cocktail bar in Inman Park and Bocado Burger at the Avalon in Alpharetta.

He said that the restaurant is a best of both worlds eatery, offering “the convenience of delivery matched with the ease of finishing your pizza just how you like it.”
Al Forno’s uses just four ingredients in its handmade Certified Neapolitan pizza crust, made from low-gluten dough. Toppings will come from seasonably available options such as artichokes, arugula, broccoli and garlic in the fall. The eatery will also offer small plates, including arugula and kale salads, marinated olives, tomato bisque, fresh bufala mozzarella and gelato.

Al Forno’s will also offer limited dine-in service for guests who want to enjoy their pizza in-house.
