Student Attacked; Police Seek Suspect
Atlanta police say the person who sucker punched a Grady High School student Nov. 12 is not the infamous 'Midtown Puncher.'
Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man they say attacked a Grady High School student at random earlier this month.
Conor Downey, 17, was walking along Crescent Avenue on Nov. 12 when he was attacked from behind by a stranger, FOX 5 Atlanta says. Downey needed stitches following the assault.
The attack fits the profile of Curtis Bethea, the so-called “Midtown Puncher,” who was arrested earlier this year. Bethea allegedly approached a victim, punched him or her from behind, and continued walking as if nothing had happened.
