Suspected Car Thief Has Been Arrested 70 Times By Atlanta Police
Eddie Brantley's latest apprehension by police came after he allegedly was driving a stolen car in Midtown.

ATLANTA -- Police arrested a convicted felon in Midtown last week after he was allegedly caught driving a stolen car. This latest arrest marks the 70th time Atlanta police have taken Eddie Brantley, 45, into custody; he is now facing charges of theft by receiving stolen auto.
Brantley was arrested on March 7, 2019, around 10:20 pm, after a Midtown resident told police they left their vehicle running while picking up their dry cleaning at 950 W. Peachtree Street earlier that evening. Several hours later, police noticed the stolen vehicle near 98 Broad Street and arrested Brantley.
Brantley has been previously arrested for armed robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
