Suspicious Package Deemed Safe (Update)

Atlanta police have announced a suspicious package reported in downtown Atlanta Friday afternoon is not dangerous.

The package was reportedly at the intersection of Courtland Street and Andrew Young International Boulevard.

Andrew Young International Boulevard was blocked off east of Piedmont Road and north of Courtland Street, police spokeswoman Elizabeth Espy told Patch.

Patch is now trying to learn the nature of the package and will update this story further when new information becomes available.
