Terminus Festival Comes To Midtown Atlanta In June

ATLANTA, GA -- Gamers, film buffs, media professionals and other creatives are set to converge upon Midtown Atlanta in June for Terminus, a four-day conference and festival.

The event, which runs June 22-25 at the W Midtown, will feature educational workshops, panels, film screenings, video game unveils and even a Mario Kart-themed field day in Piedmont Park. Last year's festival featured more than 80 speakers from 57 companies and organizations, including Google, Marvel Studios, Adobe, EA (Electronic Arts) and more. Organizers expect this year to be even bigger.

“Georgia is now the world’s third largest film production hub, and ChooseATL is a driving force to solidify Atlanta as the go-to place for the next generation of media creators," Kate Atwood, executive director of festival partner ChooseATL said in a news release.

"Terminus, by attracting professionals in the industry and connecting them with up-and-coming creators, puts us in a unique position to nurture and highlight this new wave of talent. We want them to know that Atlanta is a welcoming and promising place for them to start and build their career in film, media, and gaming," Atwood said.

Terminus said that its aim is to is continue "empowering today’s creators by providing them with education, experience, and opportunities as they create interactive and cinematic experiences to entertain and connect audiences."
