Children's Healthcare of Atlanta patients bravely fighting life-threatening illnesses wrote down what they were thankful for in pics.

Several patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta took the time to write down the things they’re thankful for in a series of powerful photos taken at the hospital just in time for Thanksgiving.
Megan, a young patient who has spent 150 days in the hospital this year alone, wrote that she was thankful for cuddle time with therapy dog Izzy.

Taylor, a Mississippi resident who had a heart transplant on her 16th birthday, was thankful for the new organ pumping blood through her body.
Justin, who was hit by a bus in October, wrote simply that he was thankful “for not dying!”

“Together, these brave kids and their families teach us an important lesson: If you can count good health among the things you’re grateful for this year, the rest of your worries are just the small stuff,” the hospital writes.
