Two TSW Projects Honored by the Atlanta Regional Commission

The annual honor recognizes visionary projects that improve the quality of life in communities across metro Atlanta.

Midtown-based TSW was involved in two projects that have received 2022 Regional Excellence Awards from the Atlanta Regional Commission. The annual honor recognizes visionary projects that improve the quality of life in communities across metro Atlanta. The two projects are:

Innovative Development Award: Edgewood-Candler Park Transit-Oriented Development. This project includes a vibrant, mixed-use complex created out of a former parking lot at the Edgewood-Candler Park MARTA station. It’s part of MARTA’s ongoing efforts to develop parking lots at its rail stations and re-energize neighborhoods. TSW’s Planning Studio worked with Columbia Ventures on the zoning submittal and TSW’s Landscape Architecture Studio developed the landscape design for the surrounding streetscapes, parking areas, amenity pool and lifestyle deck, outdoor café, and other gathering spaces.

Livable Center Award: City of Stockbridge Amphitheater and Park. The City of Stockbridge has spent the last decade carefully planning and investing to make its downtown a major community destination. Stockbridge’s newly completed Amphitheater and Park have become the beating heart of this fast-growing city, extending the public space around City Hall. TSW’s Architecture and Landscape Architecture Studios worked with the city to design the amphitheater and supporting buildings from concept to construction documents, and the firm’s Planning Studio conducted the LCI Study (ARC Livable Centers Initiative) for Stockbridge which included the amphitheater.
