Woodruff Arts Center’s Annual Campaign Surpasses Goal
The Midtown-based Center, one of the largest arts centers in the world, raised a record-breaking $9.6 million.
The Woodruff Arts Center’s (WAC) 2013-2014 Annual Campaign raised a record $9.6 million, surpassing the ambitious goal of $9.5 million and breaking the record for the most funds raised in the history of the Annual Campaign initiative.
The support of Atlanta’s corporations, foundations and individual contributors was essential to the record-breaking success of the campaign, which was led by William H. Rogers, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of SunTrust Banks, Inc.
“The Woodruff Arts Center is integral to the cultural fabric of our community,” said Rogers. “By supporting the arts, we foster economic growth by building the quality of life in Atlanta.”
The Annual Campaign is a vital part of the more than $30 million raised annually by the Woodruff Arts Center and its arts and education partners. Annual Campaign funds support shared services for the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, High Museum of Art and Arts for Learning, including finance, facility management, human resources, information technology and community engagement activities.
