The Victim in a Second Hit and Run Accident in the Local Area Dies
Barrow County Sheriff's Department and Georgia State Patrol are investigating a hit and run accident across the Walton County line that has resulted in the death of a woman.

The Barrow Patch is reporting that a hit and run victim, the second in the local area this past weekend, has died from her injuries.
According to Barrow Patch, the woman, who was struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning while walking on Manning Gin Road near Jeremy Drive, has died as a result of her injuries. The Barrow County Sheriff's Office and Georgia State Patrol are working together on the investigation.
This was the second hit and run in the local area this past weekend. Seventy-six year old William Scarborough was hit by a vehicle while walking home from Bingo in Monroe on Friday evening. In that case, Georgia State Patrol reports that a person has turned themselves in to authorities and is cooperating with the investigation.
