Walton County crews were kept busy Tuesday with storm damage that brought down trees and power lines all over the county. According to a preliminary report from the National Weather Service at Peachtree City, Monroe was hit hard and the 911 Call Center was flooded with reports of trees down.
Crews from Walton County Fire Rescue had Rowe Road off Highway 78 blocked off as utility crews tried to clear limbs from power lines. Power was off in large sections of the City of Monroe, including at Walmart and surrounding businesses, for much of the evening.
