GBI Investigating Death of Woman Jailed for DUI in Nearby Oconee County
The GBI is also investigating the alleged suicide earlier this month of a man incarcerated in Walton County.

Oconee Patch reported that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death on Tuesday night of a 49-year-old Colbert woman who had been arrested by the Georgia State Patrol on charges of driving under the influence. She was in the custody of the Oconee County Sheriff's Office at the time.
A GBI agent told the Athens-Banner Herald that the woman, identified by authorities as Traci Kesler, arrived at the jail around 10 p.m., and 40 minutes later she was found in distress. Authorities reported that the women was taken to Athens Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The body was taken for autopsy by the GBI.
The GBI also is currently investigating the alleged suicide death of Myron Edward Kulich, 52, of Covington, who was discovered dead in Walton County jail on July 3.
