Monroe Residents Graduate from Georgia Southwestern State University
The Fall 2012 Commencement Ceremony took place on Dec. 8, 2012.

AMERICUS, GA (01/17/2013)(readMedia)-- The following area residents were among 387 students who graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the Fall 2012 Commencement Ceremony held on Saturday, Dec. 8 in Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center.
- Sydney Galloway of Monroe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in Health and Physical Education.
- Amanda Johnson of Monroe graduated with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction - General Content.
- Melanie Powell of Monroe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Georgia Southwestern State University, located in Americus, Ga., is a public, four-year unit of the University System of Georgia with 3,000 students.
