• Update: Buddhist monks on Walk for Peace spend another day and night in Walton County Friday (monroelocal.org) — Buddhist monks on a 2,300-mile Walk for Peace will stop in downtown Monroe today for visiting hours from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. before continuing to Good Hope for the night. Their multi-month journey toward Washington, D.C. has drawn big local crowds, so officials urge visitors to be mindful of parking and congestion when coming out to greet them.
