β’ Buddhist monk reunites with Walk for Peace group in Georgia after leg amputation in Houston (houstonchronicle.com) β A group of Buddhist monks on a 2,300-mile βWalk for Peaceβ has now reached Monroe, bringing their message of hope and compassion directly through the community. Their journey continues despite a devastating Texas crash that led to one monkβs leg amputation and a pending lawsuit, and supporters are encouraged to join in spirit through daily peaceful intentions.

- Hey, we found a yellow and green parakeet (I think) in the Publix parking lot at the Pavillion about 30 minutes ago and have it with us.
