UPDATE: Report of Shots Fired Followed by a Wreck in Monroe

Georgia State Patrol officials confirm they are working a wreck in Monroe that involved shots being fired. Details have been updated.

UPDATE: Georgia State Patrol spokesman gave details regarding the wreck. Information on the shots fired has been deferred to Monroe Police Department and will be made known when MPD comment on the incident.

The GSP public information officer reported that the crash was a head-on collision between an Expedition and a Toyota Corolla. He declined to give the names of the people in the Expedition since they were involved in the first incident being worked by MPD. He reported that incident involved shots fired prior to the collision. They were reportedly not the at fault vehicle as the expedition was hit head on by the Toyota, according to GSP.
