Flies Observed in Kitchen, Broken Fryer Baskets and Other Violations

The Northeast Health District is tasked with ensuring restaurant compliance with applicable health and safety regulations. The following are the most recent scores available for Walton County restaurants.

Each kitchen is given a score, and any violations are listed on-line.  The restaurant or cafeteria is categorized as low risk if there are no critical violations and a score of 90 or more is achieved.  For a food establishment to be categorized as high risk, one or more critical violations must be found.

Any restaurant with a failing grade -- a score of 70 or less -- receives a follow-up inspection within 10 days.

Little Ceasar's Pizza

Low Risk - No critical violations

Non-critical violations:

• Violation of : 15C. Nonfood-contact surfaces clean Water, Plumbing and Waste- Vent hood filters dusty.
• Violation of : 18. Insects, rodents, and animals not present - Back door's self-closure not closing door completely.

Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits 

Low Risk - No critical violations

Non-critical violations:

• Violation of : 15A. Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used - A cardboard box was used as a shelf liner. The cardboard was discarded. 
• Violation of : 18. Insects, rodents, and animals not present - Multiple flies were observed in the kitchen. Advised person in charge to work with the pest control operator to help reduce the fly population.

Subway

Low Risk - No critical violations

Non-critical violations: 

• Violation of : 16B. Plumbing installed; proper backflow devices - A leak was observed at the three compartment sink. Advised to have leak repaired.

Taco Bell

Low Risk - No critical violations

Non-critical violations: 

• Violation of : 17C. Physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean - The cove molding is damaged in the back area around the dry storage room.  Advised person in charge to repair.

Low Risk - No critical violations

Non-critical violations: 

• Violation of : 14B. Utensils, equipment and linens: properly stored, dried, handled - Pails stacked wet. 
• Violation of : 16C. Sewage and waste water properly disposed - Grease trap under three compartment sink leaking.
• Violation of : 17D. Adequate ventilation and lighting; designated areas used - Employees purse, keys stored on dry storage shelf.
• Violation of : 18. Insects, rodents, and animals not present - Back door weatherstripping missing on left side and in poor repair.

Zaxby's

Low Risk - No critical violations

Non-critical violations: 

• Violation of : 11A. Proper cooling methods used; adequate equipment for temperature control - Multiple containers of tomatoes in the cooling state were covered with a lid. Advised person in charge to loosely cover tomatoes until they reach 41F. 
• Violation of : 15A. Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used - The fryer baskets were damaged with broken wires. Advised person in charge to discard the broken baskets.
